I haven’t blogged in a long time, since the ryknield competition. A quick update, we are now stamina training in the mornings and have started circuit classes. We have also started choreography and training on our masters routines.

I went to the Olympics on Monday to see the synchro free duets preliminaries. I went with Emma and Karen two current coaches, Marion a member from my old county team, Tracy – Karen’s old duet partner and sister and Joan one of the first coaches of the Henley synchro club.

It was a great day, we saw amazing routines and have been really inspired. I know a lot of our swimmers have got tickets too and I hope they are just as inspired. I spent a lot of time being star struck by seeing our GB team and also the Russians, Natalia Ischenko and Jenna Randall are my favourite current swimmers.

Our GB team are swimming their technical team today and the finals are tomorrow when they will swim their free routine based on peter pan. Russia usually keep a new routine secret for the Olympics so that will be exciting to see. Any synchro missed can be caught on the bbc website under sports->Olympics 2012->schedule and results->choose sport and day.

All the olympics has been very exciting, hopefully sport and competitiveness will be promoted and funded more after such a succesful year for all our athletes.
